Chronicles of a Summer – Granada Centre

GRANADA CENTRE OF VISAL ANTHROPOLOGY

Showcasing our students’ best work

21-22 October, 2017

Our MA in Visual Anthropology students will soon graduate. Join us at the screening of their documentary films and exhibition of their multimedia works.
The event, called Chronicles of a Summer, is a unique opportunity to witness our students’ best efforts after a year of hard work. It will take place at Leaf on Portland Street in Manchester, on the 21st and 22nd of October 2017. This year the works will include themes as broad as landscape, witchcraft and disability, and styles as eclectic as ethnofiction, observational film and slow cinema.
Whether you have studied with us or are just interested in anthropology, documentary films and audio-visual media, we would love to see you there.

Film screenings
Watch the documentaries on the big screen on both days. The directors will join in for a discussion led by filmmakers and academics.

Exhibition and installations
Works in photography, sound and mixed media will be on show at the Leaf for the duration of the event.
Can’t make it? Keep an eye on granadacentre.co.uk – some of their works will be available online.

Please consider helping the students fund the event through this GoFundMe page.
