(2005, 80 min)

"Hidden Beauty" is a 26 minute documentary film about the inner beauty of Arabian women.  It speaks about the difference in the concept of beauty between East and West.  It gives an explanation as to why many European women want to look like Arabian women and be as feminine as they are.
One of the heroines in the documentary is a successful woman working as an investor from Saudi Arabia who left the country with her 3 children; the youngest one was 2 months old and was mentally challenged.  She had very little money except for a small amount given to her by her parents for breakfast.   She started her life from zero, but she was determined to help her daughter and she wanted to become a strong and independent woman. She fulfilled her dream and from a secretary became a multi-millionaire.  All the while, she felt that she missed the East, and so she came back from the West and shares with us her opinion of what is beauty to her after experiencing so many things in her life.
The next heroine is Jamilya, who is the only woman in UAE who works with 400 men in the ambulance service and who has saved many people from fires, accidents and collapsed buildings.  Her story was so inspiring, that the ruler of Dubai, His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed Maktoum, came to her house to personally express his gratitude for her service to the country.  Being the single mother of 5 children, she shares her opinions on the beauty of women, especially Arabian women.
The documentary examines the dispute between East and West about the beauty of  women and what is more important: inner or outer beauty.  The subject matter is interesting to a wide spectrum of individuals.
